Mariner Feedback and Working Mariner Updates Are Now Live
We have launched Mariner Feedback and Working Mariner Updates, two resources designed to work together so mariners can contribute first-hand experience and stay informed about the navigational and safety-focused work surrounding Chatham Light.
Mariner Feedback is open to commercial and non-commercial boaters. It provides a private way to describe how the new light is performing on the water, including positive, neutral or critical experience. Responses will help build a clearer record across different routes, conditions and types of operation.
Working Mariner Updates is a focused email list for commercial fishermen, captains, crew, charter and passenger operators, shellfish and aquaculture operators, workboats, and other experienced local mariners. Subscribers will receive occasional updates about:
- Navigational and safety-focused findings from Mariner Feedback
- Significant Chatham Light developments
- Requests for route- or condition-specific observations
- Relevant meetings and opportunities to participate
The two resources are intentionally separate. Completing Mariner Feedback does not subscribe anyone to email, and joining Working Mariner Updates does not submit feedback or sign the petition. Contact information, operating details and individual feedback remain private unless a respondent separately permits anonymous summary use.
Mariners who want to contribute experience and stay current should complete both steps:
Community members can help by sharing these links directly with commercial fishermen, captains, crew and experienced boaters who know Chatham and the surrounding Cape waters.
